Prayer is Awesome!

My friend Wes posted a quote about prayer today, by Dr. Peter Kreeft. According to his website, he "is a professor of philosophy at Boston College and at the King's College (Empire State Building), in New York City. He is a regular contributor to several Christian publications, is in wide demand as a speaker at conferences, and is the author of over 55 books, including: Handbook of Christian Apologetics, Christianity for Modern Pagans, and Fundamentals of the Faith." Sounds like he's Catholic, but we won't hold that against him. ;)

Anyway, he said:

I strongly suspect that if we saw all the difference even the tiniest of our prayers to God makes, and all the people those little prayers were destined to affect, and all the consequences of those effects down through the centuries, we would be so paralyzed with awe at the power of prayer that we would be unable to get up off our knees for the rest of our lives.

Just a little food for thought. :)

I used Kreeft a fair amount within my PhD.

Happy Weekend!
